Great news from Ferrari: A new Icona Series model, the Daytona SP3; and the last of its flagship 812 Superfast front engine V-12s, a coupe and targa-roof roadster. The bad news: Icona models are reserved for Ferrari’s top clients, and the new 812s are all spoken for.
The Lamborghini Miura introduction at the 1966 Geneva Motor Show was indeed a tough act to follow, let alone surpass, but Lamborghini did just that five years later. At the ‘’71 Geneva show, the marque unveiled both the higher-performance Miura SV and its eventual successor, the Countach.
Lamborghini and Porsche both released their third-quarter sales. The Macan, Cayenne and Taycan dominated at Porsche. Meanwhile, Lamborghini sold over 738 vehicles worldwide, it’s best September to date.
In a few weeks at the Amelia Island Concours d’ Elegance, Gooding & Company’s auction will offer a 75,000-mile 1994 BMW 850CSi in the stunning shade Hellrot (German for light red). Pre-sale estimates put this car between $90,000-$110,000, approximately the same price as when the car was new.
The 2020 Scottsdale Auctions boasted $226 million dollars in sales between all of the auction houses. This includes supercars, pre-war classics, and even the late Paul Walker’s car collection.
