This year, the Scottsdale Auctions will not all be in January, nor are all in Scottsdale. RM Sotheby’s and Bonhams will both be in Scottsdale in January, while Worldwide Auctions in Indiana in January. Additionally, Gooding & Company will be strictly online auctions this month. Built in Italy and powered by German Mercedes-AMG engines, Paganis have set high benchmarks for bespoke engineering and innovative materials. At RM Sotheby’s Arizona sale last month, a 2018 Huayra Roadster, one of 100 made, sold for just under $2.4M, which was the starting price when new.

The going rate for a Ford GT is about $1.2M-$1.5M, or nearly three times the GT’s original $447,000 MSRP (before options). Barrett-Jackson’s top sale in Scottsdale was $1.485M for a 2017 GT with just 141 miles. A ’17 Ford GT in ’66 Heritage livery was the top sale at Barrett-Jackson’s Las Vegas auction in October 2019. It sold for $1.54M.

A 1969 ZL1 Camaro sold at the Scottsdale Auctions for a whopping $1.094 million on the Barrett-Jackson stage. The ZL1 was an all-out performance package that also included heavy-duty suspension and drivetrain components.

The 2020 Scottsdale Auctions boasted $226 million dollars in sales between all of the auction houses. This includes supercars, pre-war classics, and even the late Paul Walker’s car collection.

The 2005-2006 Ford GT was an homage to Ford’s 1960s endurance racecars, but intended for the street. One is currently up for auction in Scottsdale at Gooding & Company, featuring Carroll Shelby’s signature on the dashboard.

Six auction houses are featured, showcasing cars from 1924 to 1941. Marques such as Cadillac, Rolls-Royce, Duesenberg, Auburn, La Salle, Oldsmobile, Buick, and Hispano-Suiza are among the cars up for auction.
