Auctions: RM Sotheby’s “Elkhart Collection” Sale Brings $44.3m
The “Elkhart Collection” is no more. RM Sotheby’s offered all of them at no reserve and brought in $44.3m. The top sale was a 1952 Ferrari 225 S Berlinetta by Vignale, which brought in $2.8m, followed by 1953 Fiat 8V Supersonic by Ghia $2.04m.
Vintage Corner: Arnolt-Bristol
Only 142 Arnolt-Bristols were ever produced, 130 of which made it to consumers. The 1956 Arnolt-Bristol Deluxe Roadster by Bertone will be offered at the RM Sotheby’s Elkhart Collection sale this weekend, Oct. 23-24. The pre-sale estimate is $325,000-$375,000.
Model Perspective: Karma Revero GT
The Fisker Karma, went on sale in 2011 and was gone by the following year. However, it re-emerged a few years later as Karma Automotive. They new company adopted the model name as its brand, reintroduced a much-updated version of the car and is planning a line of electrified vehicles. The Karma Revero GT is one of them, an extended-range electric vehicle that costs $135,000.

Lotus is known for it’s many “E” name models, including the Elan, Elite, Esprit and Europa. They are joined today by the Evora and the Evija.
