The Keels & Wheels Concours d’Elegance

Though Houston is plagued by heavy rain and flooding, just minutes away there exists an ocean-side destination untouched by the foul weather.  For two decades the Keels & Wheels vintage car and boat Concours d’Elegance has been providing a world-class marine and automotive showcase in Texas.  The theme for the 4-wheeled end of this year’s Concours is a tribute to two icons of American motoring, the luxurious Duesenberg marque and the muscle car era.  Keith Martin, enthusiast and publisher of Sports Car Market magazine, will preside over the proceedings as Master of Ceremonies.  Whether you’ve got racing shoes in your trunk or a captain’s hat below deck, this event has something for everyone.

Keels & Wheels Uncorked is a charity gala and silent auction that was held in March, serving to raise additional funds for Keels & Wheels charities and act as a preview of the Concours to come.  This year’s gala featured a one-of-a-kind 1948 Bentley R Type Coupe and a pristine Ferrari 308 GTS; just two of the distinguished automobiles that will grace the green this weekend.

Over the course of their long tenure within the community, these two events have raised in excess of $1,500,000 for Boys and Girls Harbor, an organization devoted to helping local children and families in crisis.  In addition, the considerable draw from Keels and Wheels’ attendees contributes to the economic wellbeing of such a beautiful region of Texas.  No parking is available on site, so please consult the website for more information.
