The Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance

Like all concours, Amelia Island’s is a beauty pageant for fine, generally vintage, automobiles.  Esteemed judges pore over every vehicle with the highest regard for appearance and authenticity; every part of the automobile, from the trunk to the engine bay is subject to intense scrutiny.  Amelia Island improves upon this already lofty standard with classes that are the developed years in advance to highlight new marques and automotive eras.  The well-curated field of 225 vehicles ensures emphasis is placed on design movements and historical import instead of merely date of production. Last year’s concours exemplified this with a class devoted to the cars raced by Sir Stirling Moss, who also graced the event as an honoree.  A diverse, manicured field of 6- and 7- (and sometimes 8) figure autos has elevated the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance to its current perch as one of the nation’s premier concours.  The status has drawn a score of automotive events and a number of distinguished car auctions, namely RM Sotheby’s, Gooding & Company, and Bonhams, together for an automotive week to rival Pebble Beach.

Competition for Charity

The Florida coast and Amelia Island’s luxurious Ritz-Carlton provide a fitting backdrop for the display of these noteworthy automobiles.  In spite of its upper-crust attendants and venue, the impact of the concours is laudably altruistic; over it’s two decade tenure, the show has donated over $2,500,000 to Northeast Florida’s Community Hospice, an organization that provides care for terminally ill children and adults regardless of their ability to pay.  A team of hundreds of volunteers make this charitable celebration of the automobile possible.

Leasing for Concours with Premier

Many of the faithful stewards of these cars are as distinguished as the concours itself, having spent fortunes acquiring and preparing a car worthy of gracing Amelia Island’s hallowed lawn.  Premier is honored to count many past entrants to Amelia Island among its roster of lessees. We make owning a concours-ready vehicle possible without an oil-baron’s expense account, and regardless of funding, our Simple Lease frees up capital for more profitable ventures.
