Here is a sampling of our favorite offerings from the Gooding & Company online catalogue.
Lot 035, a “1 of 25” 2016 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Rennsport Reunion Edition, is the pick of Ross Dressel, our Midwest Region Sales Manager and Juan Garcia, Premier’s West Coast Region Sales Manager. This edition is a limited-production variant of the 911 Carrera GTS Coupe. This stunning 911 commemorates one of the world’s premier Porsche marque events. Further, the car is available exclusively with a manual-shift transaxle. It is also historic as one of the final naturally-aspirated, manual-transaxle cars ever to be released by Porsche. All 25 were finished in special Fashion Grey paint accented by black and red stripes. The stripes were on the doors, roof, hood and rear decklid. Consequently, it featured Gloss Black 20-inch Sport Classic wheels and exterior trim. It also has black-upholstered interior features leather and Alcantara with Rennsport Reunion Edition carbon fiber trim. Moreover, it has sill plates and Carmine Red accent stitching. Other welcome features include PASM Sports Suspension, 18-way adaptive sport seats, Bose audio and rear ParkAssist. Rare, highly equipped and featuring a 430-horsepower flat-6 with manual gearbox, it is a true “instant collectible” Porsche model.
Michelle Yancey, Premier’s Southwest Sales Manager, has selected Lot 007, the 1990 Ferrari Testarossa offered by Gooding & Company, aptly summarized by her as “…the truly iconic modern Ferrari model”. Offered without reserve, its iconic Pininfarina body style continues to amaze all onlookers. The car’s Rosso Corsa paint finish over Tan leather is emblematic of its maker. Further, performance remains spectacular by any measure with 380 horsepower on tap from its 4,942 cc DOHC horizontally-opposed 12-cylinder engine, 5-speed manual transaxle, independent suspension and 4-wheel disc brakes.
According to the Gooding & Company description, this Testarossa also benefits from meticulous maintenance and remains highly original with just over 13,000 miles of use. Moreover, this Ferrari is understood to have completed the Ferrari CentoMiglia Rally in November 2017 and it will surely provide a thrilling open-road experience for its next lucky owner.
The pick of Premier’s Northeast Sales Manager, Keith Neelans, is Lot 025, an iconic 1996 Porsche 993 Carrera RS. The ultimate evolution of the normally-aspirated Porsche 993, it is one of the most celebrated models to come from Stuttgart. It also marks the end of a glorious era as one of the last air-cooled Porsche models produced. Built to homologate Porsche’s latest 3.8-liter cars for international racing, the Carrera RS featured lighter weight, a strengthened body shell, lightweight aluminum opening panels, thinner glass and adjustable suspension, plus large-capacity oil coolers, limited-slip differential, Turbo-spec brakes and revised traction control.
This Speed Yellow Carrera RS was delivered new in Germany. It is well equipped with air conditioning, high-amp battery, power windows, and sport seats. In addition, the Porsche has a Blaupunkt Düsseldorf radio and standard front and rear spoilers. The original owner custom-ordered this RS with body-color wheels. It remained in Germany under just two owners until 2018. It was then imported to the U.S. at under 23,000 kilometers recorded. Since then, it has been owned by U.S.-based Porsche collectors and remains exceptionally original.
Lot 085, a 2009 Ferrari Scuderia Spider 16M,was selected as the pick among Gooding & Company’s offerings at Amelia Island by Chris Warren, our Southeast Sales Manager. One of just 499 examples produced and capable of electrifying performance, this Scuderia Spider 16M was derived from the 430 Scuderia to celebrate Ferrari’s 16 F1 championship titles earned through 2008. Featuring stunning open bodywork designed by Pininfarina, the 16M is powered by a 503-horsepower alloy V-8 engine. A Formula 1-inspired electronic differential and stability control system with torque vectoring complements the 16M’s adjustable race-tuned suspension. Driver preferences are controlled by an F1-style manettino on the steering wheel.
Moreover, finished in classic Rosso Corsa with an Anthracite Metallic center stripe, Black Alcantara and mesh seats, carbon fiber interior accents and Nero Opaca (Matte Black) wheels, this one-owner Ferrari Scuderia Spider 16M is simply stunning. Offered with just 5,139 miles at the time of cataloguing, it is stated by Gooding & Company to include its window sticker, tool pouch, fitted cover and factory manuals, plus service records and invoices for a great overall package.
