The Southwest’s Premier Automotive Gathering
The 2015 Santa Fe Concorso will be a gathering of more than 110 rare and exotic cars and motorcycles. The weekend is a three-day celebration of ‘mechanical motion’ – including seminars, an evening gathering at Hangar K at the Santa Fe Airport, and a Mountain Tour and Rally, all culminating with a judged exhibition of “rolling works of art” including classic cars, racing champions and legendary motorcycles at Sunday’s Concorso.
The Events
The weekend opens Friday afternoon with a special tribute to Luigi Chinetti and Ferrari, presenting how speed has shaped the American landscape. The presentation will feature vintage Ferraris from the 1960’s including a 250GT Berlinetta SWB and a 275 GTS/4 Spyder. As the evening approaches The Friday Night Gathering, an informal event for entrants and guests at Hangar K, will be showcasing a ‘special speed’ display of vintage WWII Warbirds, classic racing cars and speed-record seekers.
Saturday promises a day to remember with a beautiful drive over New Mexico’s scenic roads to the old west town of Cerrillos for a special lunch for entrants. Then Sunday’s main event unfolds with the Concorso event at The Club at Las Campanas Sunrise Golf Course. Expert automotive judges, including Donald Osborne or Automotive Valuation Services, who will be emcee for the Concorso, will review the field and name class winners based on vehicle elegance, authenticity, provenance and craftsmanship. The Santa Fe Concorso includes a charity auction donating its proceeds to benefit youth organizations in Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico.
