Model Perspective: 2015 Aston Martin Vantage GT

Aston Martin debuted its 2015 V8 Vantage GT at the New York Auto Show in April, shocking some in the industry with its sub-$100K price tag. While hardly inexpensive, at $99,900 the Vantage GT becomes the lowest-price option in the Aston Martin lineup.

Available as a coupe, or for a bit more money as a convertible, buyers get a 4.7-liter V8 with 430 horsepower and 361 pound-foot of torque. They also have the increasingly rare option of a traditional 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed automated manual with magnesium paddle shifters. Top speed is 190 m.p.h.

The GT still offers the luxury features and touches of class you expect from Aston Martin with Alcantara trim, carbon fiber doorsill plates and seats from the V12 Vantage S. The choice of five liveries pay homage to Aston’s Le Mans racing wins, including Alloro Green with white, Jet Black with silver, Skyfall Silver with anthracite, Mariana Blue with silver and Speedway White with silver. Motorsports-inspired graphics packs are also available that add contrasting paint around the grille, mirror caps, rear diffuser blade and roof pillar.

The Vantage GT went on sale this spring with deliveries scheduled to begin third quarter.
