If you’re a fan of automobiles, it’s a safe bet you’ve dreamed of high-speed travel down Germany’s network of unrestricted highways. Legends of the Autobahn is an annual car show and Concours d’Elegance that caters specifically to the cars that were made for this legendary roadway.
For the next four days the Mazda Leguna Seca racetrack will be awash with elegance, transporting viewers back to a time when auto racing was the epitome of class and drama.
For the past 25 years, Monterey Car Week has been ushered in by a party that showcases the best of the automotive world. The event garners advertisements from the most exclusive marques, like Koenigsegg and Pagani, seeking to showcase their wares to only the most qualified of buyers.

The third annual Carmel Mission Classic is Monterey’s only source for physical, spiritual, and automotive sustenance. It’s a laid-back car show set around the timeless architecture of Carmel Mission Basilica. Proceeds benefit local charities as well as the restoration of the Basilica, a national landmark that has occupied the Monterey peninsula for almost two and a half centuries.
Now in its 14th year, the Quail is the most exclusive of the slew of automotive events that comprise Monterey Car Week. Even the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, though prohibitively priced for casual spectators, is open to the public. The Quail, however, thrives on its invitation-only policy, creating a relaxed environment with the right cars and the right products for the right people.
The 18th Fairway of the Pebble Beach Golf Links becomes a time machine for one day only during the capstone concours of the Monterey Car Week. This fleeting event packs the exemplars of the golden age of automobiles onto the well-groomed strands of California’s central coast.
Bonhams’ Monterey auction is partnered with The Quail: A Motorsports Gathering, and upholds the latter’s reputation for the displaying some of the finest vehicles extant. Out of their docket of over 100 vintage and exotic automobiles, at least 12 have a low estimate exceeding one million dollars.
