Premier’s 2020 Results Mirror Times’ Reporting

This recent New York Times story on sustained interest in classic car collecting, despite the pandemic, was consistent with Premier’s experience over the past year. We’re happy to see the article included many friends in the vintage / exotic car industry, including Spencer Trenery, president of Fantasy Junction, and McKeel Hagerty, chief executive officer of Hagerty insurance firm.

The COVID shutdown kept people from pursuing many of life’s pleasures, from visiting with family and friends to attending a concert or ball game. As one of the very few personal pursuits that maintained social distancing and broke the monotony of self-quarantine, interest in driving increased in 2020.

Despite financial challenges they may have faced, serious car collecting enthusiasts were not inclined to give up what many of them saw as their connection to normalcy and freedom from COVID. Our cars continue to represent happier times, both in the past and in the days ahead.
